Delay

Dark Archon Invasion is Nearly Ready for Release.  The game was intended to be released today, however due to some unexpected issues, the game will be released during the week.  Below gives you a quick run-down on changes in Dark ARchon! 

Things that were Removed:

• Multiplayer

• Races

• All of the models in the game but 3

• mouse-only control

Things that were Changed:

• Background Graphics

• Foreground Graphics

• All of the mission goals and missions themselves

• Storyline

• Title Screen

• Ship Select Screen

• Pause Screen

• Power-ups

• Weapons

• Music

• Sound Effects

Things that were Added:

• Power-Ups (computer player & Others)

• Special Weapons

• Different Difficulty Levels

• Multiple Save Game Slots

• A complete new set of ships

• Battle station end bosses (4)

• Mouse + Keyboard control

• New special effects

After looking at this INCOMPLETE list you are probably starting to understand that a ton has changed on Dark Archon Invasion.  You likely won't even recognize the game when you play it.  The demo currently available shows off many of the changes that have been made to Dark Archon.

Demo

The demo of Dark Archon Invasion is now available!  Download it now to check out the new graphics.  We've also added a screen capture of one of the SpaceStations that you won't see in the demo.

The new version includes improved graphics, game play, and survival mode.

As Dark Archon nears one year old, we've decided to give Dark Archon a complete facelift, calling it Dark Archon Invasion!!!  We're sure you'll lvoe the new graphics, with new effects, new ships, new weapons, new power-ups and new play control.  You WON'T even recognize the game when you first see it!  Check out the screenshot section for some new pics.  The new version should be released by the end of the year.  Those with the old version will receive a free upgrade.

Award?

Game Tunnel Has included Dark Archon in its list of the best games of 2003.  DA made the list for the best adventure game.  The award will be announced on Dec. 10.  Check it out here!

R-Day

Dark Archon was released on time! 

Check out the Downloads section to play this sure to be a classic space thriller.  The Demo is limited, but will give you a good idea of how the game plays...just without the ability of really building up your weapons or playing the other 3 races.

To facilitate a little easier surfing through the website, the navigation through the sub sections (such as each ship page in the "Ships" section) has been modified.  As always, material will be added to the site as available.  Currently the game in a very stable alpha build.
