 In the
Intergalactic year 30187 (Archonian year 3912) the planet Archonia was a
thriving center of trade in the Sirant Nebula. Ruled by the Lord's Of
Polis, Archonia experienced great amounts of prosperity. Known for it's
beautiful blue water and red-ish purple skies, the beauty of Archonia was
legendary throughout the galaxy.
However, Under the reins of the Lord's of
Polis militaristic government that fully
dictated every action of each individual's life, the repressed people of
Archonia became unhappy and eventually revolted.
An underground faction, known as the Free
Archons grew in power as it planned to overthrow the ruthless Lord's of Polis.
The Free Archons lacked the strength it needed to make a real attempt to
overthrow the government and so they made an alliance with a group known as the
Black Faith.
 The
Black Faith was a secretive group made up of pirates and mercenaries. By
controlling the trade routes in the galaxy, they had great amounts of power over
each of the individual planets that they "serviced." Archonia, being at
the center of most of the trade routes that they controlled, was the most
important port in the galaxy. Billions of Archonian credits passed through
Archonia each day.
The Lord's of Polis watched and grimaced as
tremendous amounts of money flowed through their planet. They watched and
they schemed. Driven by a never-ending desire for money and power, they decided
to take over the trade routes by destroying the Black Faith.
The first attack happened on a small moon of
Archonia. A Black Faith base was hit by a magnetic missile that
destabilized their shield and disrupted the artificial gravity, causing the moon
base to be torn into a million pieces by gravity's power. The Lord's of
Polis claimed no responsibility for the act. In fact they gave their
condolences. However, once security satellite photos became public it was
clear that a Lord's of Polis wasp was the attacker. Before the case could
be take to the high tribunal, the Lord's of Polis had declared its "takeover" of
the trade and commerce in the galaxy, and they immediately launched attacks on
more of the Black Faith's bases killing of large numbers of the Black Faith's
men and most of their major bases.
The tentative alliance that had been formed
between the Black Faith and the Free Archonian now became a complete union known
as the the Dark Archon Alliance. The Black Faith, whose armies had been
severely depleted supplied weapons and space craft to the Free Archons.
The secret union of the Black Faith to the
Free Archons caught the Lord's of Polis completely by surprise. The first
act of the Free Archons was to destroy the main Lord's of Polis military base on
the planet and the largest city. The military base had been seen as the
major stronghold of the Lord's of Polis. It was a 50 square mile fortress
that housed the majority of the weapons and spacecraft of the Lord's of Polis
army. As the fortress exploded, the combined detonation of all the weapons
caused the improbable. Archonia was broken. It turned into the main
planet adrift with thousands of splinters...all floating adrift through the
universe as the explosion had also knocked Archonia out of its orbit.
As the planet floated through the galaxy, the
war continued. The Dark Archon alliance prevailed over the Lord's of Polis
overthrowing their tyrannous rule.
 After
the Lord's of Polis were removed from power, the Free Archons moved to destroy
the only possible threat that remained...the Black Faith. The spy network
of the Black Faith kept them abreast of the Free Archon's intentions and so the
Free Archon's were unable to do more than minor damage to the Black Faith.
While the Free Archon's failed to destroy the
Black Faith, the war itself destroyed most all of what was left of Archonia.
This once beautiful world had become a used battlefield full of the shattered
remains of ships, weapons, and life, floating with a million asteroids through
the universe.
 One
Hundred and Fifty years after the fortress explosion that decimated the planet
and forced it out of orbit, in a peaceful and un-technologically advanced
galaxy, the people of Earth were enjoying another day. Attempting to make
ends meet and climb up the corporate latter, they had little knowledge of the
power struggle that was approaching them.
It was just after sun-up on a cold November
morning when the NASA scientists from the US spotted a meteor shower of several
million asteroids headed towards Earth. The Earthlings braced themselves
for impact from the asteroids, but had little understanding of the real threat
that was coming.
Much of Earth was destroyed almost
instantaneously. Before Earth knew
what had hit them, they had several visitors from Archonia. The Free Archons,
who were now known as The Archonians, and the Lords of Polis both saw Earth as an
opportunity to rebuild their
armies and strength.
 However,
it was the Black Faith who were the first ones to reach Earth, and
they saw Earth as
a planet to do business with, as they were weak and outnumbered. Desperate to
build an army to
survive their new threat, Earth banded together, giving everything they could to
the Black Faith in
exchange for new advanced weapons. But what the Earthlings didn't know is
that the ships they received were generations behind what the other groups had
technologically.
And so began a war in which it seemed death
was going to be the only victor. The time has now been turned over to you.
Choose your army! Will you take up the cause of the dictatorship of the
Lord's of Polis, the nobleness of the Earthlings, the money controlling Black
Faith, or the "freedom" fighting Free Archons? Who will you lead to
victory?
